Matthew Macfadyen, who plays Tom Wambsgans in the TV series Succession, has shared his thoughts on the show’s series finale and the future of his character’s relationship with Cousin Greg, played by Nicholas Braun. In the finale, Tom and Greg emerged as the true victors, with Tom taking control of WaystarRoyco and Greg securing a place in the company with Tom’s protection. Macfadyen praised Braun’s performance and revealed that the trust between the two actors allowed them to go all out in their fight scene.
Macfadyen also spoke to Variety about his character’s relationship with Greg, saying that he likes having him around and recognizes a kindred spirit in him. Despite the chaos Greg caused with his last-minute maneuvering, Tom admires his deviousness and ambition. Succession is available to stream on Max.
