Aside from scoring a 1-2 in the Indianapolis 500 with Alexander Rossi and Carlos Munoz, the Michael Andretti-owned team endured a disappointing 2016 season, with Munoz only just edging into the Top 10 in championship points, and the other three cars finishing 11th, 12th, and 16th. Outside of IMS, the quartet scored just four podium finishes, three of which came from Hunter-Reay.
