Banished from the Hero’s Party I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside Gets Second Season

Good news for fans of Banished from the Hero’s Party I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside as the anime adaptation is getting a second season. The light novel and manga series is written by a Japanese author, who uses the pseudonym Zappon. They are published in Japan by Kadokawa, and localized into English by Yen Press.

The anime follows Red, an elder brother of the young girl hero, posessing the Divine Protection of “The Guide”. Red’s power only grants a high initial level, with no magic nor martial art nor supernatural ability, which makes him hard to keep up with other members of the party. Heartbroken and feeling betrayed, Red leaves the party and travels to the frontier of Zoltan, to make ends meet by opening a herbalist shop. There, he meets a half-elf carpenter and a princess who couldn’t join the hero’s party, and the trio set out to live a slow, inconspicuous life in the world of Divine Protection.

A premiere window for the anime was not announced at the time of writing, but fans of the series can look forward to the anime’s continuation. While they’re waiting, they can gain insight into the series through the MyAnimeList synopsis.
