Apple Releases iOS Update to Address Screen Time Issues

Apple has released a software update to address issues with the Screen Time feature on its products. The update comes just days after Congressman Josh Gottheimer called on the company to fix parental controls that were not working properly. The update fixes an issue where Screen Time settings may reset or not sync across all devices.

Gottheimer visited Ridgewood last week to raise concerns about the faulty tech and sent a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook urging him to fix the long-standing problems. He also announced that he is drafting legislation to tackle crimes stemming from social media and boost transparency of social media companies.

Parents are encouraged to download the new Apple Screen Time software update on all of their families’ devices to protect kids from excess screen time and explicit content.
