13 NFL Teams Dominate Forbes’ List of Most Profitable Sports Franchises

Forbes recently released its list of the top 25 most profitable sports franchises in the world, and 13 NFL teams made the cut. The list was based on the operating income of sports teams from MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and soccer over the past three years.

The NFL dominated the list with 13 teams, followed by the NBA with six and the Premier League with four. The Dallas Cowboys, owned by Jerry Jones, topped the list with an operating income of $365 million. The New England Patriots, owned by Robert Kraft, came in second with $240 million, and the Houston Texans, owned by Janice McNair, rounded out the top three with $200 million.

Other NFL teams on the list include the New York Giants, Los Angeles Rams, Washington Football Team, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Buffalo Bills.

The dominance of NFL teams on the list is a testament to the popularity and profitability of American football. Despite concerns over player safety and declining ratings, the NFL remains the most lucrative sports league in the world.
