We left Sandyhook (a bit warily) in 20-25 NE winds to round Cape May & thru the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal (202 miles in 32 #hours). It was pretty "sporty" until #we turned the corner into Delaware Bay. We anchored in Still Water Pond (just outside the C&D #canal) and slept like the dead. We contemplated setting the alarm & leave at 5am to make the most of the tide and stay ahead of the wind shift to SW on our way to St Michael's, MD. We paid for it.
